By using innovative technologies and working, step by step, according to a fully proven protocol, MANOPI will be able first, to detect acoustic signals transmitted by black boxes pingers at long distance, even when lying at great depth over a wide search area, secondly, MANOPI will provide black boxes longitude, latitude and depth with a metric accuracy.

All required equipment has been designed for minimum weight in order to be flown through commercial airlines. Once on site, search equipment can be deployed from ships mobilized locally. Thus, overall cost of Search and Recovery operations is considerably reduced.
