ALSOLEN:
Thermodynamic solar power plants

The ALSOLEN company develops medium power thermodynamic solar power plants (up to 20 MWe) using the technology of Fresnel mirrors. These power plants called ALSOLEN use oil as heat-transfer fluid. This oil is heated at 300°Celsius and transfers its thermal energy to an Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC), which generates electricity via a turbine.

PROLLION:
Lithium-ion
cells ans battery systems

The system architecture is completely designed by PROLLiON:

  • use of existing PROLLiON cells or development of specific ones
  • mechanical, thermal, electronic and electrotechnical system architecture
  • specifically designed energy management (SOC, SOE, SOP, SOH), protection and communication functions
  • modularity: parallel and series configuration of modules and battery packs

LHERITIER:
High definition cameras
and mega-pixels

These compact video cameras are endowed with rugged simplified structures offering a quality of image far above CCIR standards. Designed with an architecture including a single small size board (HEMERA HD, supporting sensor types from 1/6" to 2/3") up to three boards (HEMERA MEGA with 11 MPx sensor), they incorporate on-board software to improve image quality, such as contrast improvement and noise reduction. They are used in all scientific, industrial, safety and military applications when observing details in real time become important.

AER:
Predictive aging study
the APASE method

For its own needs, AER has developed a methodology for carrying out predictive aging studies to define equipment's aging capacities without the need for any experience feedbacks. This methodology has been extended to systems that have not been designed by AER and, as a result, the company carries out aging studies on parts, equipment or systems on behalf of its customers.

The Alcen Group believes that inside control over technologies is an essential element for maintaining an enduring innovation policy.

As a result, unlike  to normal trends, it has decided to integrate itself into numerous different laboratories working on a wide range of subjects.

Even so, it is open to cooperation with outside research centers.

With the wide range of knowledge acquired in this way, it can lay claim to being an innovative designer even in complex products and systems that incorporate various functions.

The Alcen Group works in 4 domains: Defense, energy, medical machines and aeronautics.

Its ambition is to establish a constant innovation policy in these domains, primarily applied to its own products and services.

Wherever possible, they offer innovative solutions.

It organizes its teams in structures that are both independent and coordinated, set up around top-level, fully accountable members of staff.
